Equality at St. Felix RC Primary School
St. Felix RC Primary School are exceptionally proud to be awarded with the Silver Equalities Award in 2021, which demonstrates that we are ‘passionate about equality for all – irrespective of disability/SEND, ethnicity, faith or religion, gender and socio-economic background.’ The assessors said, “Well done on all of your hard work towards completing your portfolio of evidence, which shows the exemplary equality and diversity work you are doing at St Felix” Our commitment to equality is further evidenced in our OFSTED report (November 2022), which states that There is a strong and well-planned personal, social, health and economic education curriculum. Assemblies, wider opportunities, clubs and visits develop pupils’ understanding of British values, such as respect, democracy and tolerance. These opportunities help pupils appreciate that individual characteristics make people unique, and differences should be celebrated.
