Risk Assessment for March 8th Return
We are very much looking forward to having all children back in school on Monday because as the Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty, has said; it is “absolutely universally accepted that there are huge advantages for children to be in school”. You can read a blog covering his key points here. The Secretary of State has also written an open letter to parents.
Our Risk Assessment can be found here
We are also aware that some children may be anxious about returning. There are many resources to help support pupils with this but I particularly like the Childline resources:

Place2Be: https://www.place2be.org.uk/our-services/services-for-schools/mental-health-resources-for-schools/return-to-school-resources/

Return Guidelines:
Here is a reminder of the information sent last week:
There is no official government guidance on the wearing of face masks outdoors. However to keep our school community safe, it would advisable to wear a face mask when attending the school site for drop off and collection for the next few weeks.
Pupils will continue to be taught in bubbles with minimal contact with other bubbles and start and finish times will be staggered as in the Autumn term. Breakfast Club and Wraparound will be available for bookings in the usual way. School lunches will be available in hot boxes as before Christmas.

Pupils should wear correct school uniform and should only bring essential items – bag / lunch box / water bottle / hat / school books. Toys and other items such as keyrings on bags should not be in school. Please do not send sweets or cakes for birthdays.
Please return any laptops which have been loaned back to school from 8th March.
I look forward to seeing you all next week,
Mrs A Dodds
